Everything is made and packed in Bali and sent by DHL Express. I pack every order myself. If something is urgent, write to me and I will tell you honestly what is possible.
When your order leaves
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days. You get a DHL tracking number by email as soon as the label is made. The delivery times below are counted from dispatch, not from the moment you order.

DHL Express is the only service I use. It costs me more than the alternatives, and it is tracked door to door rather than left sitting in a depot for three weeks.
Duties and taxes
Most shops are vague about this part, so here it is plainly.
Australia. Nothing to pay on delivery. Australia does not charge duty or GST on imported orders under A$1,000, and LeMerch is not registered for Australian GST. Your parcel arrives and that is the end of it.
Indonesia. Domestic delivery. Nothing extra.
Everywhere else, including New Zealand. Import duties and taxes are calculated at checkout and shown to you as a separate line before you pay. You pay them with your order, I pass them on to DHL, and nothing further is owed when the parcel arrives. I do not absorb these charges. What I can promise is that you see them up front rather than being handed a bill at your door.
Every parcel carries a correct HS code and country of origin, so customs has what it needs and your order is not held up.
If something goes wrong
Parcels get lost. Rarely, but they do.
If your tracking has not moved in five business days, email lemerchdesign@gmail.com with your order number and I will open a trace with DHL that day.
If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph the box before you unpack it and send me the pictures. I will replace the piece.
If DHL cannot deliver because the address was wrong or nobody was there to sign, the parcel comes back to Bali. I will send it again once the address is confirmed, though the second shipping cost is yours. I pay it the first time and I cannot pay it twice.
Why the free shipping threshold sits where it does
A$215 and US$150 is roughly one skirt. That is close to what one parcel actually costs me to send, and I would rather tell you that than quietly fold it into the price of everything in the shop.
